Edelbrock Information

Made in the U.S.A.!

The Inertia Active System built into every Edelbrock shock absorber can sense the difference between motion of the wheel and the motion of the chassis. Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks have a variable dampening rat that enables the shock to apply a higher dampening force when it's needed to control excess chassis motion and a lower dampening force when the wheel hits bumps, potholes, or any surface irregularities.

Edelbrock performance speaks for itself...

Variable dampening improves handling as well as ride comfort. Edelbrock shocks are tuned specifically for each application and the dampening forces are set to be stiffer under handling and softer under rough terrain than conventional shocks. The end result is a vehicle that handles like a sports car with a comfortable ride.

All shock assembly machinery is now enclosed in a temperature-controlled, dust-free environment in Torrance, California, for improved quality control. Manufacturing capacity has also increased due to the addition of two new production lines.

A new CNC-equipped prototype shop has been added to increase efficiency in new product development. And new offices have been built to support the growing staff of engineers at the Edelbrock Shock Absorber Division.
