Rancho Steering stabilizer.

Twin-tube low pressure unit.

This part is specially engineered to operate horizontal. Acting as a horizontal "shock absorber", a steering stabilizer reduces vibrations that travel thought the steering system to the driver. The result can be increased control, improved safety and reduced driver fatigue.

Simply put, steering stabilizers are installed between the main movable component of the vehicle steering system and its frame.

Some of these units are a direct replacement part for an O.E. steering stabilizer.

If your vehicle DID NOT have a steering stabilizer from the factory as original equipment, a mounting hardware kit will probably be needed (when available, depending on the vehicle).
