I need a shock two inches shorter than the Monroe 555001. I had to move my axles on my 2001 Jayco to accomodate my higher 3/4-ton truck. The shocks need replacing. After moving the axles do the shocks need to be shorter, or do I need to move the brackets?
Answer:
The 555001 is the shortest shock Monroe makes with those mounting points. You are going to have to move the brackets on the trailer to help with the height difference.
