Safe-T-Plus Fitment Guide
FMC motorhomes use one of two legacy Safe-T-Plus combinations. The correct steering control and mounting kit depend on whether the coach has the alternate front fresh-water-tank configuration.
Both the Safe-T-Plus steering control and its application-specific mounting kit are required. Use the coach configuration, not the model name alone, to select between these two listings.
Use this legacy listing for an FMC motorhome that does not use the alternate front fresh-water-tank configuration.
Use this legacy listing only when the coach matches the Safe-T-Plus description “FMC motorhome with fresh-water tank in front.”
Determine whether the coach has the front fresh-water-tank configuration called out in the legacy Safe-T-Plus guide.
Check the steering linkage and mounting area for modifications, previously installed brackets, or clearance changes.
Provide clear photos of the steering linkage and tank location along with the coach year and VIN when available.
Safe-T-Plus combines hydraulic damping with a self-centering force. On a properly fitted FMC motorhome, it can reduce steering wander and the constant corrections that make long drives tiring. It does not replace worn tie-rod ends, steering components, tires, or alignment work.
