Monroe Air Shock Line Kits and Replacement Parts

Monroe air kits provide lines, fittings and related parts for selected Monroe air shocks. They may be needed for a new installation that calls for a separate kit or to repair an existing air-line system later in the vehicle's service life.

Check what comes with the shocks

A new pair of Monroe air shocks generally includes an air-line kit, but that is not universal. Some applications, including certain GM vehicles, require a special kit when specified. Read the application notes and package details before ordering a second kit or assuming the standard fittings suit the vehicle. The fact that two applications use Monroe air shocks does not establish that their line arrangements are identical.

Replacement parts for an existing system

Lines and fittings can require attention even when the air shocks themselves remain usable. Before choosing repair parts, identify where the system is losing air and inspect the condition and routing of the existing tubing. A damaged line, a fitting issue and a leaking shock are different repair needs. Replacing an entire line kit without locating the problem can leave the original fault unresolved.

Keep the brand compatibility restriction

Monroe air lines are not intended to fit other brands of air shocks. Do not select them simply because the tubing appears similar or a fitting seems close in size. Identify the shock brand and application first, then use the specified components and installation instructions. Route replacement lines as directed, away from sources of heat and abrasion, and check the completed installation for leaks. Inflation requirements belong to the particular air-shock application; no universal operating pressure is established by the line-kit category.

Match the lines to the air shocks

Monroe air-line kits are intended for the corresponding Monroe air shocks; do not assume they fit another brand. A pair of new air shocks commonly includes an air-line kit, but some GM applications call for a separate application-specific kit. Check the kit contents and the vehicle's factory leveling connection before ordering repair fittings.
