SuperCoils Heavy-Duty Replacement Coil Springs
SuperCoils replace the original coil springs with heavy-duty steel springs intended for additional suspension support. Unlike an auxiliary support product fitted alongside an existing spring, a SuperCoils installation changes the primary coil spring itself.
Replacement springs with a constant rate
SuperCoils use a linear, or constant, spring rate. Within their working range, the force required for each additional increment of compression follows that rate rather than a deliberately progressive curve. Selecting the correct application matters because the spring's role includes supporting the vehicle at rest as well as responding to changing loads. A heavier-duty description alone does not determine the right spring for every truck.
SuperCoils versus SumoSprings
The names describe different roles. SuperCoils replace the factory coil springs, while SumoSprings supplement the existing suspension and can also be used alongside SuperCoils. One described combination pairs SuperCoils with SumoSprings Solo in place of factory bump stops. Whether that combination suits a vehicle depends on the specific applications and support needs; it is not a universal requirement when installing replacement coils.
Check ride-height expectations
Some SuperCoils applications are intended to maintain stock ride height. Others may produce a modest functional lift, described as roughly one or two inches depending on the vehicle, to provide additional support. Do not choose from that general range as though every part offers adjustable lift. Installation time depends on the vehicle, tools and suspension condition, and coil springs require appropriate handling. Ask for the applicable warranty terms for the selected springs before purchase.
