What's The Difference Between Koni Colors?
Some of the most common questions we get from customers interested in Koni shocks are "what's the difference between Koni Yellow and Koni Orange shocks?" and "what's the difference between Koni Yellow and Koni Gold shocks?"
Koni Sport shocks, also known as Koni Yellows, are some of the most popular shocks out there for sports cars, luxury cars and race cars from daily driven autocrossers to dedicated race cars. Koni's other brands offer unique handling, performance and ride quality characteristics, and the differences can be confusing.
"What's the difference between Koni Yellow Sport and Koni Orange STR.T?"
Basically, the Yellows are adjustable, while the Oranges aren't. Koni Yellow Sport shocks have a 100% range of adjustment, which means that they are twice as stiff at the highest setting as at the lowest, this lets you dial in the exact mix of performance and comfort you want, adjust depending on track conditions, or compensate for wear. These are the best shocks you can buy, but they're pretty expensive. The Koni Orange STR.T shocks offer a more affordable sport shock with the performance of the Koni Yellow but no adjustability. Koni Orange STR.T shocks are a more traditional sport shock absorber.

"What's The Difference Between Koni Yellow Sport and Koni Gold FSD?"
The major difference is that Koni Golds are designed for pure street cars, while Koni Yellows are designed for mixed-use vehicles that are daily driven but also used for racing. Koni Sport Yellow shocks can be set at a low setting for a comfortable, soft ride, then stiffened when more performance is called for. The Koni FSD is designed to act just like an electronic or magnetic suspension and rides very soft for high frequency impacts (like a pothole) but senses when a stiffer shock is needed for hard cornering.
