Rancho Steering stabilizer KIT.
Twin-tube low pressure unit.
This part is specially engineered to operate horizontal. Acting as a horizontal "shock absorber", a steering stabilizer reduces vibrations that travel thought the steering system to the driver. The result can be increased control, improved safety and reduced driver fatigue.
Simply put, steering stabilizers are installed between the main movable component of the vehicle steering system and its frame.
This kit USUALLY allows you to install this steering stabilizer 2 WAYS - To replace an O.E. factory unit as a bolt on part: OR - if the vehicle did not come with one from the factory, to install it with the included Rancho brackets and hardware.
If you cannot install the part both ways, this will be called out in the technical notes for the individual vehicle it is designed for.
