KONI RV Shocks for Bluebird Wanderlodge
Bluebird Wanderlodge shock selection requires the coach model, chassis configuration, year, and axle position. A matched KONI package can help control bounce, sway, and brake dive, but the LX/LXI, 380, and 450 groupings must be checked carefully before choosing front, rear, or tag-axle components.
LX and LXI axle-specific options
The LX and LXI group identifies an adjustable front shock, an FSD rear shock, and an FSD tag-axle shock. Preserve the position distinctions when building a replacement plan. A tag-axle application is separate from the primary rear axle, even when both products use frequency-selective damping.
Check the 380 and 450 grouping
The separate 380 and 450 grouping should be matched against the coach’s identification and individual product applications. Do not choose by a familiar model name embedded in a product label alone. Front and rear mounting details and the exact chassis coverage are more useful than a broad Wanderlodge heading.
Compare KONI damping approaches
The broader RV range includes FSD Gold, Adjustable Red, and EVO 99 Adjustable. These names describe different approaches to damping and adjustment; they do not establish universal Wanderlodge coverage. Evaluate ride preferences only after identifying the products approved for the coach and axle position.
Review the full suspension
Record the existing shock numbers, normal travel load, and any suspension modifications before ordering. Inspect mounts and bushings during replacement so fresh dampers are not attached to worn supporting components. Shocks manage movement; they do not establish ride height or repair a faulty spring or air-suspension system.
