FOX Shocks, Steering Stabilizers and Accessories
FOX offers several ways to control suspension and steering movement, from smooth-body replacement shocks to coil-overs and steering stabilizers. Choose the vehicle application and the suspension job first. A reservoir, bypass design or adjustment knob is useful only when the shock also has the correct mounts, travel and calibration.
Factory and Adventure Series
FOX 2.0 Factory smooth-body designs use high-pressure monotube construction with zinc-coated bodies. Stock-height and lifted applications require different checks: verify the listed suspension height rather than assuming any Factory shock is suitable for your truck.
Adventure Series 2.0 IFP shocks use an internal floating piston to separate oil from the high-pressure nitrogen chamber. Their 5/8-inch alloy-steel shafts are hard-chrome plated and heat-treated to resist damage that could affect the seals. Application-tuned valving, not shaft diameter alone, determines the damping response.
Performance shocks and coil-overs
Performance Series replacements are selected for specific stock or lifted applications. Coil-overs combine a spring and damper arrangement, but their included components and tuning requirements vary. Internal bypass adds position-sensitive damping on designs that actually include it; not every FOX coil-over uses internal bypass.
For a reservoir installation, consider hose routing and space through the complete suspension travel. Check spring, bracket and adjustment requirements before choosing a package.
Steering damping and shaft protection
A steering stabilizer damps steering disturbances; it does not replace suspension shocks or repair worn linkage. Roost Shield kits protect exposed shafts and seals on compatible 2.0 Performance Series IFP and Evolution Series IFP shocks. The paired-shield kit includes mounting hardware and instructions; identify your actual shock before selecting shields.
DSC adjusters and accessories
The DSC accessory design offers ten low-speed and twelve high-speed compression settings. These refer to suspension shaft movement, not vehicle speed. Compatibility with 7/8-inch-shaft smooth-body and remote-reservoir coil-over designs must be checked individually, including any required application-specific hoses and fittings. Keep a record of settings when making changes so comparisons are repeatable.
