SuperSteer Product Guide

SuperSteer RV Suspension

SuperSteer products address different kinds of RV movement. The fastest way to choose the wrong part is to call every handling complaint 'sway.' Identify whether the coach is bouncing, rolling, shifting over the axle or showing free play in the steering linkage.

Where this product fits

Body movement

Shocks control vertical motion. Sway bars resist roll. Motion control units regulate air flow in supported air-suspension systems.

Axle movement

Trac bars limit side-to-side movement. Radius rods limit fore-and-aft movement on supported chassis.

Steering movement

Bell cranks, drag links and related parts address specific linkage wear or geometry. Steering stabilizers serve a different damping role.

Start with the chassis plate and VIN, not only the coach manufacturer's model name. A single motorhome model may be built on different chassis or weight ratings, and front and rear applications can change across model years.

Then describe the movement precisely. Repeated up-and-down motion points toward damping. Lean in turns points toward roll control. A steering correction after a passing truck can involve lateral axle movement, alignment, tires or steering play. More than one issue can exist at the same time.

Choose the right product line

Good reasons to consider it

  • Identify the chassis, year, axle and GVWR
  • Separate bounce, roll, axle shift and steering play
  • Inspect original components before adding new ones
  • Install one verified solution at a time and road-test the result

Confirm before ordering

  • Loaded tire pressures and axle weights
  • Alignment and steering-linkage free play
  • Shock, spring, bushing and sway-bar condition
  • Clearance around aftermarket tanks, exhaust and leveling systems

Frequently asked questions

Which SuperSteer product stops RV sway?

First define sway. Sway bars address body roll, trac bars address lateral axle movement, motion control units affect supported air suspensions, and shocks address vertical movement.

Can I choose by motorhome manufacturer?

Not reliably. Use the underlying chassis, model year, axle, GVWR and existing equipment.

Should I install several handling parts at once?

Inspect and prioritize first. Installing one verified solution at a time makes it easier to confirm which problem was corrected.

Do SuperSteer parts increase motorhome weight capacity?

No. They do not change GVWR, GAWR, tire ratings or legal payload.

What information should I have before asking for fitment help?

Provide the coach year and model, chassis manufacturer and model, VIN, GVWR, axle information, loaded weights when relevant and clear photos of the existing hardware.

Confirm the exact application

Use the Year, Make, Model selector in the site header when the vehicle or chassis is supported. Read every application note before ordering. If the configuration is unclear, use the technical support form with the vehicle or coach details and photos of the existing suspension.
