FOX truck and SUV suspension
FOX makes everything from straightforward bolt-on shock upgrades to adjustable, race-oriented suspension. The right choice depends on your exact vehicle, lift height, how you use it and how much tuning you actually need.

Use the Year, Make, Model selector at the top of this page to see FOX parts that fit. Then confirm the drivetrain, front or rear position, stock or lifted height and every application note before ordering.
Choose by use
A more expensive shock is not automatically the better shock for every truck. Start with the problem you are trying to solve, then compare only the FOX options that fit your vehicle.

Compare FOX Factory Series and FOX coil-overs. Reservoirs, larger bodies, internal bypass and external adjustment can add capability, but the exact features vary by part.
Choose a vehicle-specific shock with the damping and heat capacity suited to your use. FOX shocks can improve control, but they do not increase the truck's legal payload or towing rating.

Bolt-on truck and SUV shocks with application-specific valving. Many use an aluminum body and internal floating piston to manage heat and keep the oil and nitrogen separated.
Learn about Performance Series
Factory Series covers more specialized off-road hardware, including smooth-body, reservoir, internal-bypass and competition-oriented designs. Not every Factory Series shock is a simple direct replacement.
Learn about Factory Series
A straightforward IFP option focused on ride control, comfortable on-road driving and predictable handling away from pavement. Availability is more limited, so begin with your vehicle.
Learn about Adventure Series
A coil-over combines the damper with a coil spring that supports vehicle weight. Correct selection can require mount style, compressed and extended length, travel, spring rate, preload and clearance information.
Learn about FOX coil-overs
Designed to reduce unwanted steering feedback and kickback, especially with aggressive tires. A stabilizer cannot repair worn tie rods, ball joints, track bars, wheel bearings or an alignment problem.
Learn about FOX stabilizers
Protects compatible FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP and Evolution Series IFP shock shafts and seals from rocks and debris. Confirm shock compatibility before ordering.
Learn about Roost Shields
Includes adjusters, reservoir mounting hardware, suspension fluid and specialty tools. These parts are not universal. Match the accessory to the exact shock body, shaft, reservoir and design.

FOX shock questions
Many FOX Performance and vehicle-specific shock applications are designed as bolt-on replacements, but not every FOX product is. Factory Series, coil-over and universal parts may require different mounts, additional hardware or a custom suspension setup. Always read the exact product application notes.
FOX offers many stock-height and lifted applications, but lift height is part-specific. Select your vehicle, measure the actual lift and choose a shock whose listed range matches the suspension. Do not assume that every FOX shock for the same year and model fits every lift.
Performance Series is the most common starting point for a straightforward, vehicle-specific upgrade. Factory Series includes more specialized and race-oriented designs, which may add reservoirs, internal bypass, adjustability or custom-fit requirements. Features vary by individual part.
No. Better damping can improve control, reduce excess motion and help the truck feel more settled, but shocks do not increase the vehicle manufacturer's payload, axle or towing ratings.
A steering stabilizer can reduce kickback and unwanted steering feedback, but it should not be used to hide worn or loose steering and suspension parts. Diagnose the tie rods, ball joints, track bar, wheel bearings, bushings, tires and alignment before treating a stabilizer as the solution.
It depends on the listing. Many shocks are sold individually, while some kits include multiple shocks or additional hardware. Check the product title, description and package contents before choosing a quantity.
Many FOX performance shocks are serviceable, but the service procedure and available parts depend on the exact series and model. Follow the documentation for the part number or contact FOX service support before disassembly.
