Toyota Mini Motorhome Air Lift 57113: Kit Contents and Drilling

Air Lift 57113 is a complete rear air-spring kit, not a single left- or right-side air bag. For a qualifying Toyota mini motorhome application, order one kit per vehicle. It includes both air springs and the installation components, and installation requires drilling.

One kit supplies both sides

The practical answer to “Do I need one or two?” is one 57113 kit. It includes two air bags along with the hoses, brackets, bolts, and other parts needed for the kit installation. Do not double the quantity because the vehicle has two rear suspension sides. At the same time, distinguish the complete kit from an individual replacement air spring or service component; those are different purchases and should not be assumed to contain the same hardware.

Expect frame drilling for the upper brackets

The 57113 is not presented as a no-drill installation. Drilling is required, typically to attach the upper brackets to the frame. The exact hole locations, preparation, hardware arrangement, and tightening procedures belong to the installation instructions. Do not use a general statement about “a few holes” as a drilling template. Before work begins, the installer should inspect both sides of the intended area for lines, wiring, corrosion, and motorhome equipment that could affect safe access.

Installation directions are included

Directions come with the kit, and Air Lift also provides installation information through its website. Reading the correct 57113 instructions before purchase helps you understand the work involved and decide whether to use a professional installer. Match the instructions to the actual kit number rather than relying on another LoadLifter installation that looks similar. Motorhome bodies and added equipment can change working space even when the underlying chassis is the intended application.

Air springs and air shocks are not the same purchase

The 57113 Rear LoadLifter 5000 is an air-spring support kit. It supplements the rear suspension rather than replacing the vehicle's shock absorbers. If your current shocks leak or the coach continues bouncing after bumps, evaluate those shocks separately. If the issue is loaded rear sag, air springs address the support side of the problem. Neither the kit name nor an improvement in stance authorizes carrying more than the motorhome's chassis, axle, or tire ratings allow.

Prepare the motorhome for its normal travel load

Assess ride height and load with the coach packed as it will be driven, including passengers, water, fuel, and camping supplies. That gives the installer a meaningful starting point for setup. Operate the air springs within the pressure limits in the kit instructions, including any required minimum pressure when lightly loaded. Do not assume that an unloaded vehicle means the system should be emptied completely. After installation, follow the manufacturer's inspection and air-leak-check procedures before heading out.
